Little Baby Steps

Alright, Everyone! I'm finally getting my blog on a roll! I don't dedicate much of my time for myself, so this is going to be the one thing I can actually have that is mine!
Between wrapping up our wedding planning (which let me tell you, is only a month away! So exciting!) and working full time, I'm not spending much time on ME!
Alright, since you listened to my little rant for the evening, let me get you started.
My house is a step-by-step project. We rent our place so there isn't a lot of room for a complete over-haul. Most of our projects are smaller ones, but they can make a huge impact on a space.
Did I mention that we also are living in what I would consider the size of a Barbie Dream House! Oh, yes! Four feet tall and three and a half wide, that would probably do it.
But living in a small rented space doesn't mean it has to look small and rented! This is still OUR home for now, and its been challenging but fun to get things just right so we can use the most of our space.
When Cody (My Oh-So-Handsome-Future-Hubby, who will probably be mentioned and appear on a regular basis in this blog,) and I first moved in our "Barbie Dream House" we recieved a couch as a gift! We were very fortunate in this gift. Why you may ask? Because it was BRAND NEW!
We didn't receive Aunt Joe's hand-me-down from the late eighties that smelt of moth balls and dog urine from sitting in the basement for too long! No! A BRAND NEW ONE!
Even though we were so fortune in this, we were given a budget when picking this piece of furniture out. We looked, and looked, and looked.
Finally we found one within the budget that was "Alright" and we took it, in a neutral color so hopefully we could fit it in with the rest of our style.
Months later, I was still unsatisfied with the way it looked and demanded a solution. I was tempted to go out and spend the money to by a completely new couch. Why would I do that! I'm going crazy over a couch! So, I did what any wise budgeting consumer would do, and I fed my dissatisfaction with some new throw pillows, and TADA!
Here's our final project costing us a whopping $30 thanks to clearance at Meijers!

Looks good right?

Just Starting

Hey everyone! I am just getting my blog re-started! I used to blog everyday and I really got out of the routine. Please be patient with me while I get everything going again!
Some things to look forward to:
1) I will be posting pictures of our cute little place and how we did some of our projects.
2)How we grocery shop, ON A BUDGET, of course.
3)I'm going to give you a little look on how we spend the rest of our money (Shhhh, don't tell, this is a work in progress for both of us, so its not perfect yet!)
Please come back soon and check out what we're doing!
